The Illinois Associated Press Editors Association news and photo excellence contests are open to any AP member in good standing listed in the Editor & Publisher yearbook as an Illinois newspaper, or considered by the Audit Bureau of Circulation to be an Illinois newspaper. The contest is open to entries from regular employees of AP member newspapers published between May 1, 2008, and April 30, 2009. Entries must be postmarked no later than May 31, 2009. ~Select links below~
*IMPORTANT CHANGES THIS YEAR: Fees have been reduced for the 2008-09 contest. There is no per-paper entry fee ($25, $50 or $75 by division) and each entry will cost $2.50 instead of $5. These changes are reflected on the fee worksheet. Also, anyone who was an employee of an AP member newspaper between May 1, 2008, and April 30, 2009, can enter the contest on their own, though they are limited to one entry per category.
